  My husband and I really wanted to like Fido’s. We love dogs and like to support rescue efforts when we can. Unfortunately, having been here twice now, Fido’s just doesn’t have the food or service to make us want to go back. Our first visit the place wasn’t busy. He ordered the wings and I ordered the BBQ Pork Rice Bowl. The wings were soggy. The rice bowl had very little meat and it was gristly and fatty. The flavor was also lacking. The second time we went, Fido’s was busy, as they had a Bull Dog Rescue there. We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, a Coke and about $30 worth of food. While we waited for our food, many other customers came in, and we noticed they were getting their orders and we were still waiting on our food order. After about 45 minutes my husband went to the counter to ask about our order. Well, it never even got printed and sent to the kitchen. Their apology was to give us two ½ hour, free visits into the puppy viewing room. Here’s the thing. Not everyone going there wants to pet the puppies. Also, not everyone going in there is local. I know it is the manager prerogative on how to appease a customer, but we would have preferred the $13 in beverages be comped or a coupon for food for the next visit. We won’t be going back, partly due to the subpar food, but also because we got the impression they didn’t care. We also won’t be recommending the place to anyone else. There are better tap houses with better food elsewhere in town.
